Stacy Adams Men's Madison Cap Toe Woven Oxford

Stacy Adams Mens Madison Cap Toe Woven Oxford
I have owned this pair for seven years and they still look like I purchased them last week. The material is excellent, the workmanship screams quality. Your swagger can't be denied. If you are a baller or a business man, people will take notice and if they don't compliment then you can bet they took several glances. You can judge a man by his shoes style and his shoe size, (pass than on to the ladies). Don't be afraid, try this pair with your brown suits, you won't be disappointed (excuse spelling). Peace.

I really wanted these shoes to work - enough so that I ordered three pairs in the attempt. The design is great, and they're really comfortable. But the quality control at the factory appears to be terrible.

One pair had gouges in the leather on each toe underneath the finish (meaning the leather was damaged, but completed+shipped anyway). On another pair one shoe had the little flap at the base of the laces permanently rolled over/folded (dog-eared) and the leather on the piece was dirty/blackish instead of taupe. The wood soles on each pair looked pretty rough, and some had large chunks of glue along the stitching, or little stains on the wood from glue or some kind of solvent.

I even tried combining two pairs to make it work - which only underscored the factory inconsistency - the leathers weren't even close to matching.

JD Fisk has a great aesthetic, but sadly their quality levels need to be raised before I'll buy again. The only good thing I can say about the transaction is that Amazon Prime was great and took all the shoes back without issue and gave me a refund the second UPS took the return shipments into their system.

I normally wear an 8-D shoe and have for many years. Since the manufactures have gone to the narrow-medium-wide sizing I have found that a medium is similar to the 'D'. Not so with these shoes. My feet were VERY uncomfortable due to the width. This is a good looking shoe but would rec. buying one size wider! Remember Patent leather does NOT stretch!!

I have been a purchaser of Cole Haan shoes for a long time. I've always believed good footwear is very important if you're on your feet all day. I have friends who buy cheap shoes and always complain how their feet hurt. I am extremely tough on footwear because of my size. I'm 6'5", weigh 215 lbs and have a very high arch in my foot. I like all leather shoes because they will last a long time with proper care and they can be resoled. Cole Haan shoes are always true to size and this style can be worn with Dockers, dress slacks, a suit and jeans. I'm giving them 4 stars only because they took much longer to break in than other Cole Haan shoes I've owned. Once they loosened up, they are extremely comfortable and look good all the time.

This is my 3rd pair of ECCO shoes. My first pair is nearly 3 years old and they are holding up extremely well. I have ordered them in various colors because I like them so much. These are among the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever worn. They have a removable liner that ventilates the insoles and keeps you comfortable all day. The soles are synthetic, but very lightweight. Another thing I like about these shoes is how well they hold a shine. These shoes are easy to care for. I rarely take the time to shine them the old fashioned way because they look very good with just a quick wipe with the sponge-type shoeshine. The only negative thing I could say is that of the 3 pair that I own, the size/fit is a bit inconsistant....maybe less than 1/4 size variation.

              Bass Men's Larson Penny Loafer

              Bass Mens Larson Penny Loafer
Since the Bass shoes I usually buy are not easily found locally (Salisbury, NC) I usually have to travel to find a seller that not only has a decent selection, but my size (13D). Just got my first pair online and this is the review. Not every Bass shoe line has a 13D, but this one does. This Bass "Larson" is one of several relatively inexpensive Bass "Weejun" style loafers that typically fit comfortably and wear extremely well. The open footwell easily accommodates a larger foot without being so open that the shoe falls off the foot. The Burgundy (cordovan) color is very versatile and the high quality leather buffs easily to a lasting shine with little effort. I just had another pair of these resoled after a year because they are my favorite work shoes and the uppers still look great. Many less expensive shoes have rubber bottoms which are arguably quieter walking down an office hallway, but I've found that they wear out faster than the leather soles on the Weejuns. I've tried others but I keep coming back for the comfort, wear and reliability of the Bass Weejun brand.

The only con I know of is that prices appear to have gone up in the last several years. I used to get mine for about $65/pair at an outlet in the mountains, but I don't travel that way anymore.
